You always hear the term "Basketball IQ" which means do you really know the intricacies of the game or are you just a freak athlete running around without a clue...got me to thinking about the Hornets team...which players have a high "Basketball IQ"...

The only one that comes to mind is Ryan Anderson and occassionally Gordon.

The others have no clue about multiple passes looking for the open shot, throwing effective screens, cuts, pick and roll, help defense, fouling with intent, situational play, dribble penetration.

It's painful to watch. I would have kept Jarrett Jack and Belinelli just for this specific purpose....showing the younger kids how to play the game the right way.

Scholar athlete.

I actually think that Davis and Rivers will end up being very high basketball IQ types. Vasquez knows the game. His problem is execution in crunch time.

Yes,Bellinelli...when I think of "Basketball IQ", I think of who can go play with the Spurs and fit into their specific role and play with court intelligence...

that's Bellinelli, Anderson, sometimes Gordon...no one else is even close.

Anderson Vasquez Gordon and Davis are the ones that have the better IQ's although that it not saying too much. Being clutch is another story.

Lopez went to Stanford. Boss. He did well in calculus and can recite The Odyssey from start to finish in old Greek. Basketball is a piece of cake. The 'ship next year.
