I have been watching people on Youtube play the beta. Looks like something I will pass on. Even at F2P I still won't download it.

It's the second, game releases usually occur on Tuesday anyways.

So on the site they are now charging $60 for this game. I thought it was supposed to be F2P?

They generally charge you for games like this for the original game. There's just no monthly subscription in F2P. Just like Guild Wars 2.

You use the word F2P but I do not think you know what it means. This is more of a micro transaction type deal and paying at first means it is in fact, not free to play.

I do know what it means. The bigger companies still charge you for the title which is what the $60 normally is for. You don't get the game for free. You can play it for free without every using cash or whatever to complete a micro transaction.

Free to play games are always FREE to begin with. They are all over Steam, but whatever this is a arbitrary designation

I would consider games that are free to begin with: p2p with games you pay for first f2p.. that being said, an argument could be made that a "true" f2p is a game that's free from the get go, I'm actually excited about Phatasy Star Online 2.. it's being marketed as a f2p game.. it will cost money to get originally.
