state income tax refund

Teenage daughter waiting on her $19 state refund.
Previously the website said "Your return has been received but processing has not been completed."
For the past 5 days this is what it has been saying "Your refund is pending approval."

I did. Don't be such a grump about it.
It is a fun process to teach your teenage kids about how our government works. First time working last year so she is learning that you have to pay taxes,social security and have to file income taxes every year to see if you have to pay or get a refund (explaining that you really just want to break even).
I think you missed the point here. She is a teenager learning that our government doesn't get in a big hurry if it has taken 5 days just to get an approval for $19 bucks.

Sorry I forgot to ask the question.
She wants to know how long does it take to approval a $19 refund?
My answer was IDK but I guess more than 5 days since you have been getting that message for that many days, lol.
