Of course he would. That would be one less person in the Tigers clubhouse trying to sleep with Kate Upton.

So what you're saying is that minority people shouldn't have a voice. Got it, Hitler. Sieg Heil and such. ETA: And based upon that logic, you and your Georgia Tech friend should GTFO because you're clearly in the minority here.

Quote me where I said that I think minorities shouldn't have a voice and I'll leave this thread.

I said I'm tired of this being an issue in my daily life.

Hell, sports, ESPECIALLY BASEBALL, used to be an escape from all the days' issues and distractions. Now it's just another place for somebody to voice their opinions and such. I blame this partly on things such as ESPN and all the other sports media outlets we have but sports are for our entertainment, not our soundboard for the day's political battles.

If I wanted to hear something about politics I'd go to Fox News.

Only reason it is news is because everyone wants to know, once a few players come out then it won't be as big. First player who comes out with have a ton of media but next few wont have to deal with as much scrutiny

I can understand that. Anybody know who the 2nd black allowed in the league was? Me neither.

I don't try to shove straightness down their throats.

This is always a terrible comparison considering straight folks haven't been marginalized because of their sexuality. The truth of the matter is that you're uncomfortable with the topic because you're uncomfortable with the concept of homosexuality. Publicly discussing the topic as Verlander has is a step toward overcoming the stupid preconceived notions people have about gays.

No, it's a facetious hyperbolic statement that should fit right in with all the others in this thread

They don't need to keep pressing the matter either

Homosexual individuals, i.e., a minority, shouldn't keep pressing the matter. So what you're saying is they shouldn't be able to talk about being gay? Because to me that's pretty much the definition of saying minorities shouldn't have a voice. Maybe that's not what you're trying to say, go ahead, I'll listen.

As for the rest, it's not an issue until you make it one. Don't make a big deal about gay people, accept them for who they are, and this becomes a non-issue.

This guy has to be a troll. Who says things like "the blacks" and "the gays" anymore? At least in public, usually all but the most retarded inbred racists and homophobes have the good sense to be that way behind closed doors. Although I guess message board anonymity is the same thing.

And not to get too much into this bc you probably are a troll, but if you've really only had sex for procreational purposes...i mean I just don't believe that's possible. fricking cardinals can't even do that. And so little North Korean babies that starve to death without being baptized...they go to hell too?

I never said they shouldn't talk about being gay. If they want to have a discussion about being gay then by all means, lets. But the fact that they are on every network is an utter annoyance. I don't wanna turn on ESPN and see some guy proclaiming gay rights. If I turn on ESPN I want to see the day's sports happenings. Not some political stand. I'm not making it an issue I don't have a problem with it. I'm saying I'm tired of everywhere I turn there's something about gay people on.

I shouldn't be wasting my time discussing with with you because I have organic to study for, BUT I really need to enlighten you. If you take some college level biology courses you'll realize that there are homosexuals in almost every species on the planet. It's actually not as abnormal as you'd think. Sure it could be a genetic mutation, or something along those lines but should that person be destined to Hell for being born with that mutation in their DNA? (I'm not saying it is a genetic mutation but, but something happens in the womb during development to lead to this.) Also, use a little common sense...why would a person decide to be gay, make life more difficult on themselves, and hide it from everyone? I know you're wrong because I'm gay, and it wasn't a choice. I didn't tell anyone until 8 days ago when I just started going down a bad path and just wasn't happy anymore. I finally broke down, told my friends, family, ex girlfriends (whole other story), and I'm happier than I've ever been. Luckily, I have good friends that understand that this isn't a choice. So to conclude, before you bash a gay person...just remember they've probably been through more shite than you can imagine...and if you unfortunately ever bash me face to face...you'll get a fist to the face because words just sometimes can't fix stupid. while I'm ranting..I'm Christian and believe in God just like you. I also believe that God doesn't make mistakes when he makes us.

AMEN BRO! Once you get Him in You can't get Him out.

But with that being said, I think it has a little to do with life choices as well. Not saying that some people aren't born gay but I do believe life choices help determine who you are.
