| Grown people obsessed with Disney (Posted on 3/4/13 at 8:02 am)
There's a lady I used to work with who is in her mid-late 40s, no kids, never been married who is obsessed with all things Disney. She goes twice a year and every morning posts like 10 different pictures on FB like "I'd rather be at the Magic Kingdom" or "Disney: a state of mind" and a countdown of how many more days until her next trip. (Yes, I know. FB sucks). Every time I see her, she is wearing something Mickey. I don't understand the mindset of people like this. Disney's fun for anyone, but the obsession is baffling. Anyone else know someone like this?

She should do like some people that I knew like that.....go work there. AT least that would allow her at least a little personal gain from her unhealthy fascination with a fantasy land

Disney is great. However I have an old college acquaintance who is obsessed. He's probably 29. It's sad.

How's that any different than someone obsessed with Twilight, boats, cars, beanie babies, hunting, Internet porn, etc? People have things they like, why are you hating? How does this disrupt your life?

True. But, aren't most people that work there young and, well, fairly attractive? Because, no.

Some people like NASCAR, others professional football. Some even go to races and games several times a year. They identify with their team or driver, even wearing shirts to represent their interest. No difference.

Damn why do you have to bring my wife into this .....Seriously I get the baby voice of my wife coming from my 4 MONTH OLD about once a week asking "Popa when can we go to Disney World?" I just shake my head and say "When you can finance the whole thing without me."....

How does someone liking Disney World have any impact on you? Maybe she has a reason, like maybe that's where her parents took her every year as a kid and now it brings back good memories for her of her parents. Don't see why this bothers you.

I wouldn't say borderline R, but not the brightest bulb in the pack. The rest is spot on.

I don't know any Disney people like that, but I've met a few Corvette people like that. They wear Corvette shirts, buy all kinds of crap and go to the museum once a year. I like Vettes a lot, but it's just a car. Common denominator seems to be no kids, limited family. Strange.

I don't know why y'all are assuming it bothers me. Nowhere in my post did I say it was annoying. I just don't get it.
