Why aren't we allowed to discuss rumors on the rant?

Looking for an honest explanation because that rule only seems to apply to the rant. The coaching changes board was basically one big rumor mill, and many of the other boards are filled with unconfirmed speculation on a wide variety of topics. I just don't understand why when it comes to lsu sports people are allowed to bash Miles day in and day out on the rant, but can't discuss a circulating story.

If you go on twitter, you will know. A shite website posted that Ron Dayne died on Thursday and a few idiots picked it up without having substantiated sources. This board would be horrible if the admins let all that crap on here. There are enough retarded opinions on here already.
