With the massive amount of talent considering LSU in 2014, I would be surprised if LSU offered a fullback, though Swanson was offered in 2013. According to 247, LSU has no fullback targets yet. LINK

With Copeland and Neighbors being seniors, the other fullbacks on the roster yet to see the field, and our utilization of a fullback, the position is a need.

Just pick up another walk on? Maybe a current player makes the switch to that position? I think Lewis Neal would make a great fullback but his finesse moves on the d-line are superb. Maybe Lamar Louis or another big linebacker?

There are always walkons at the fullback positon, seem to take a couple more every year. Last year they had a kid from BR, steve scardinia...he seems to be the next in line. Granier, Neal, Micky Johnson are all some options if it doesnt work out for them on the other side of the ball. Id be surprised if we take a fullback on schollie this cycle considering the amount of interested talent and limited spots

JC moved from DL to FB.

We should get that 350lb Hawaiian RB as our next FB.

Probably too valuable to the D-line, but Deondre Clark vid-clips where he plays fullback are really nice. Definately likes contact.

i could definitely see him being recommended by the coaches to switch positions ala J.C. Copeland…

Gerrald McDowell 6-2 250 Covington La. is an undersized defensive lineman. Sound familiar?

Scardina does look to be next in line for the walk ons

It's rare to find a full time high school fullback that would immediately fit into LSU's running game. It is also rare for a highly recruited lineman to want to switch to fullback.

I do like the concept of switching lineman or linebackers to fullback because then they at least get a chance to produce at their position. Bringing in a walk on fullback, he probably has no shot at producing anywhere else on the field

We have a ton of linebackers on the roster. It is likely that one of them will make the switch to FB.

Surprised no one has mentioned Clay Moffitt. Tommy Moffitt's son. He is a short TE but is super strong (go figure). He should walk on here.

That's a good point. The shorter the better to a certain extent when it comes to fullbacks because their center of gravity is lower

I would love for LSU to find an undersized OL in the state. These big arse guards at Parkview Baptist, JC, Catholic, brother martin.... I've seen film on them. I know the DL are way more athletic though.

when I 1st saw this thread, lamar is who I thought of as well. I really like him at lber, but if things don't work out there, he definitely has the skill set to be an absolute beast and weapon at fb

Micky seems pretty buried on the DL depth chart...any chance he makes a push for playing time on that side of the ball this spring?
Is he agile enough to play fullback?
Louis could do it but i dont want him to leave the line backing corps...and I'd prefer more of a bulldozer too
