Why aren't the Indian Mounds better protected?

They are 5000 year old landmarks that may have been used for burial(most likely not according to most reports).

I had a blast sliding down them as a kid but that is a pretty cool thing to have on a college campus.

I know, it's crazy. They're as old as the Pyramids of Giza.

People like you suck. They keep kids off them, you are just making shite up to complain about.

Have there been any Indian Mound bomb threats recently?

Perhaps someone could sneak away from campus with them in a great heist like The Thomas Crown Affair?

I'm surprised Spinosa has not tried to buy that piece of property and build an On The Run there yet.

I am not complaining about it. It ultimately doesn't affect me one bit. Its just a historically interesting thing to have on campus and probably should be more revered.

More revered? Wtf are you talking about? They have them roped off every football game. They are not going anywhere. Stop trying to make shite up for a relevant conversation

copied your question to google:

“Currently, Facility Services is working to identify operational resources to install security fencing around the excavation location. This is necessary to protect the integrity of the site and the safety of our students, faculty, staff and visitors who travel in the area around the Indian Mounds on a daily basis. This is also the commitment we made to the public towards long term preservation of the mounds,” said Lombardo.

But Lombardo assured the next step in saving the mounds is coming soon.

I stumbled home at like 4 am after a game one night and spied a couple knocking boots on one my freshman year.

They are not that rare. I've seen Indian mounds in many different places. Having them in the middle of campus is cool though. When I was at LSU, you drive you truck right over them anytime you wanted.

I didnt make the comparison. A better comparison would be that we protect 50-100 year old oaks from tailgaters like they are royalty but shite on a 5000 year old landmark.

Probably nothing, or maybe you'll wake up one morning and find some pissed off coonass dumbass with a sixpack and a ULL sticker on his bulldozer had a 300 A.M. payback party.
We should probably put a padded bra on them.
