Im as big of a mj fan as you will ever find... But it is best "athlete" and bo was pretty dam good at two sports.. Mj was pretty great at one..
And personally i would go with deion as best athlete, he did play in a superbowl and world series

Bo was the most athletic person to ever live. Period.

Bo was an all-star in two major league sports. MJ was a shitty baseball player. Game, Bo.

Jordan had stopped playing baseball after HS.
If he played in college, or play both while early in his career.
He could have been a better player than he was at baseball. Maybe at a Deion level.
Being the best ever at basketball....and playing Double A baseball after 11 years off...
Is better than being good at football and good at baseball.

He bought his way onto that double a team. It had nothing to do with his talent level

Yeah, you do realize he was basically on that team to sell tickets, right?

Again.. I am the biggest mj fan in the world... But to "play aa baseball" isnt anywhere close to bo jackson.. The man was a stud at mlb and nfl... Not even close

valid point...went from seeing HS pitching to Double A pitching 11 years later...no telling how good he could've been.

And no telling how good i "could have been" the ole coulda woulda shoulda... It isnt who could have been the best athlete.. Its who was. And the only two athletes i can think of who actually played two major sports at the highest level and started was bo jackson and deion sanders... Bottom line, lebron "coulda" been a nfl tight end had he stayed with football... Greatest athlete ever! Who fn knows! But bo and deion actually played both sports and at the higest level

Not even close. Lebron is a far greater athletic specimen than Bo is. He's 6'9", 265 lbs and has more speed, athleticism and coordination than most PGs in the NBA. Lebron's a freak of nature, a once in a lifetime physical specimen. I bet we will see ten athletes with similar characteristics to Bo Jackson before we see another physical specimen like Lebron again.

I wasn't arguing who was better. I see why they chose Bo. I was just speaking about MJ's abilities.

Bo Jackson is the greatest athlete ever. Athlete = speed, strength, hand-eye coordination, agility, etc, etc.

Well right now we are at 1, so I'll just keep waiting.
Its not best athlete for how tall you are. Its best athlete.

Bo Jackson was the greatest athlete I've ever seen. He was an All Pro Running Back and All Star Baseball Player.
Another underrated athlete was Dave Winfield

Dave Winfield is the only athlete in history to be drafted by four different leagues. Winfield was a gifted athlete and upon graduating from Minnesota, he was drafted by teams from the National Basketball Association (NBA), National Football Association (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB), and the American Basketball Association (ABA). Obviously, Winfield excelled in multiple sports, but upon becoming professional he decided to stick exclusively with baseball. It turned out to be a good decision, as Winfield had an impressive MLB career.
