Why didn't that clown just advise TM to sit out of the bench press? Dude weighs like a buck seventy soaking wet and he's gonna try and improve his stock on the bench? Run the forty, destroy the drills and say all the right things to the media. That's all he needed

It's not going to hurt him; like he said, he wants to be absolutely honest. Don't need to strong to be a DB.

Yeah I saw they had him listed at 186. That seems a little hard to believe but I guess he put on some weight.

I assume from all the munchies he's had recently.

You a GM? It may or may not hurt him depending on who you talk to but it definitely isn't going to help. The fact is now that information is out there. If he would've just sat out then it couldn't be used against him

Because the BP is really important for being a DB and it is going to devastate his draft stock if he performs poorly in it. Oh, wait...no it won't.

alright. Sweet. Thanks for proving my exact point. If it isn't a big deal and you know you are gonna perform poorly then hmmm why don't ya just go ahead and sit out to avoid actually showing how shitty you're gonna do?

I'm going to guess TM actually did more reps. Probably alot of them didn't count (didn't come all the way down to chest). Much like I think what happened to LL.

If not he's a pussy.

the guy on the nfl.com live feed for the combine said he has never been in a draft room or talked to a GM who said that a DB moved up or down their draft board bc of the bench press... i think the real football minds know that workout is not necessary for DBs

but i agree he should have sit it out

As long as he doesn't get into a shoving match with shorty rob he should be ok

It's actually great PR. Shows he is honest and willing to do whatever it takes.

Exactly, he is being open with both his good attributes and bad ones. Along with the fact that BP doesn't matter at his position, but he's showing he's willing to do everything asked of him. Great PR move.

he more than made it up on the 2nd day. To tell you the truth, his tweet about the bench press probably hurt him more than the bench press itself. But as I said, his 2nd day numbers were pretty impressive and he has a lot of players backing him (thanks PP).

If he held up in the interviews and can manage to stay on the straight and narrow through draft day he should be fine.

A DB lifting something equivalent to a small car is ridiculous(with the amount of reps they expect). Really, will he be guarding OLineman out the backfield on routes, the NFL combine is ridiculous with certain drills such as this! Mathieu would have been better off skipping this shite!

Who cares what he benched. He probably had reps disqualified. Even so, I wish him the best. He's having a good showing.

I tell you what, I'm enjoying Deion Sanders and Marshall Faulk rooting for the young man. They always have praise for Tyrann.

5,8 186 official weight and height. That is stocky almost imho. I am 2" taller and and 180 and can do between 10-12 reps. He shouldn't have skipped it, he should have prepared better.

How long are your arms?

Also why didn't his agent advise him to cut his hair? I do not think it will hurt him that he did not. However, it is a business interview and it might have made teams see him as more mature.
