Form 1099-SA came after I filed

I filed my taxes with TaxAct last Saturday and just this week I received my 1099-SA for my HSA showing my distributions (can't believe I forgot it was coming). All distributions were used for medical expenses and the distribution code in box 3 is normal so the taxes I owe won't change. Do I still need to file an amended federal and state return?

Yes, or you will get a friendly letter from the IRS in about 18 months.

File the amendment. But not too pressing. Not going to impact anything

One year, I sold a relatively small amount of stock for roughly what I had purchased it. I was young and stupid, so I didn't file a statement on my "gains". Got a friendly letter from the IRS billing me for "capital gains" to the tune of $5,000 (what I had sold the stock for). As I didn't give them the basis for the stock, they worked from the premise that I got them for free. Lesson learned

Yea, you will get a CP2000.
We got one a few months ago that apparently my wife's hospital retirement sold stocks and we never recieved a 1099 let alone new about last year. The IRS said we owed $3600, but I called and got it sorted out and faxed a copy of the 1099's and got the case closed. They just need the cost basis and stuff like that
