How do NASCAR drivers walk away from bad wrecks easily, but not regular drivers?

What I mean is, how do they walk away from wrecks when they were traveling 180 MPH, yet average joes out on a regular road in a regular car like a Toyota Camry can get injured or killed from a 50 MPH wreck?
I understand there are a lot of safety measures taken with the vehicles... but why aren't regular cars on the road also built to keep drivers safe like NASCAR drivers?

Because the engineering behind them is for a 60-70 mile an hour wreck, not 170-200

If you want to put a roll cage in a toyota camry and outfit it to be a 70K car be my guest

NASCAR stock cars are built to withstand far more punishment than an average car, to put it simply.

So that's the answer? Just a roll cage?

And why isn't the entire airplane constructed like the black box???

Not to mention do you know how heavier a race car is than a regular car due to the roll cage? Put that in a Camry and watch the fuel economy get raped.

This a serious question?

They always have their seat belt on.

Generally fewer head on and t bone crashes...and roll bars, helmets, rescue crew right there...

Roll cage, no doors (weak points on an average car in a wreck), no windows, no headlights, hood flaps, etc.
Ton of features that just aren't practical to put in a family sedan.

Some may want to sacrifice fuel economy for safety.
Why is an extremely safe car not even an option?

They wouldn't get off the ground

You're either trolling or stupid.
I'm leaning toward the former.

That makes sense.

No trees, ditches, or telephone poles.
