Have they offered Jamal Adams? I think we take him if he miss on Jones

I thought they already offered Paul.

Did you know that Roberts is better than Tony Brown? Just ask Aggie fans. They'll tell you all about it.

But, he's really been racking up some serious offers lately.

They've come to the realization that they aren't getting Brown or Paris. They'll get Darrion Johnson and we'll see who else.

Amazing Roberts is getting so many offers this early with all of the studs in Texas. Roberts is good, don't get me wrong, but he's 5'9 and thin. I have to believe that he and Paul are being offered at least in part as a play for Fournette. Sounds bad because boh kids are talented and certainly worthy of offers but not this early, especially from the Florida's and Texas' of the world. Am I the only one that sees things this way?

It's possible. But they're both good players in their own right. I think Paul is high on our board, just not higher than Clapp and Brumfield.

He was one of our first offers. Almost committed to us at one point, but I'm not sure where he stands now.

Fournette didn't even show up, but we still offered them so I think that point is moot.

I think we've probably given up on Paris but I honestly don't think Brown is as big of an LSU lean as people think. I could end up being wrong but that's just a feeling I have.

LSU's paysite mods will lose a LOT of credibility if Brown doesn't go to LSU.. that's how sure they are about it.

It's not one of those delusional Alabama twists either..the "we're bama, that's why hes coming". Its a legit feeling that he is LSUs to lose..

That makes sense then. I've just always wondered why every LSU fan has marked him down as a lock when he hasn't really tipped his hand in interviews or anything of that nature, besides alluding to the fact that his sister could influence his decision.

I guess family talks, people talk, paysite mods listen..

If they get the exact same information from multiple people, they usually run with it.

They also get info from inside LSU's coaching staff on how they feel about certain guys. If Tony Browns name, or ANY recruit is mentioned, and we get a " ;) ".. we know something positive is happening.

last I heard he listed Texas and A&M as co-leaders. But I haven't been paying a ton of attention to him because I don't think he's an imminent commit anywhere.

He's on Paris and Browns 7 on 7 team if I recall

If we go after him hard (which I doubt), LSU could be a player

I think that's a little bluster. Our staff is very high on Brown. I believe our staff rates Roberts next on the uncommitted list after Brown and would happily take his commitment right now.

So he's ahead of guys like Darrion Johnson though I'm unsure if that has to do with not football reasons. I'm not clear exactly what the issue with Johnson is but I know in part it's grades but he was also mysteriously suspended for part of last season with no explanation ever given. Talented kid though.

no doubt. I was just answering the question from above. Adams seems a bit all over the place honestly as every time I've seen him say anything it's been a different school. Makes him seem like he's going to be deciding and redeciding for a long time.

I feel good about our chances with Adams but definitely agree that LSU could become a player...also, his godfather is Joker Phillips so I wouldn't rule out at the least a courtesy visit to check out Gainesville/UF.

his brother posted a novel about how all of his friends who know football told him that his brother is better than Tony Brown. Seemed very not jealous!

Jermaine Roberts is an absolute stud. I'm really hoping TAMU can pull him in. Hardeman is good, but I was a little suprised y'all took him so early. Always thought his very early offers from TAMU and LSU were plays to get Prevot.

Also, I think Paris is better than Brown. Despite all the rankings, to me the prize DBs in Texas are Paris and Harvey. Then Brown, then Sumner-Gardner, then Johnson. Any talk on if y'all will move on Sumner-Gardner? Guy can ball.

Because Fournette didn't show has no bearing on making the point moot. The key is that Fournette's recruitment is gonna be going on for the next year and the thought(if true and I said it was just a thought) in offering those 2 is that at some point it will actually get Fournette on the Texas campus. The offers could be on their own merit since both kids are talented just asking if I'm the only one who had the thought. Our staff has seen the St Aug's kids more than any staff in the country and still haven't offered either. Doesn't mean they're not good but it does mean that something is missing. With Paul, it's having higher guys on the board and with Roberts the same but more his size. Hardeman is the only 5'9 or shorter CB we need.

Hardeman is a talented kid on his own but honestly what may be more important from him is his relentless recruiting. This kid is doing as much or more work than the coaching staff. Can't underestimate the value of a kid like that.
