Why doesnt Hollywood make a Captain Marvel movie?

I mean it has to be more successful than fricking Green Lantern right? I think with the right director it can be just as successful as a Superman movie or make just as much money as fricking Thor and Captain America, thoughts?

You mean Shazam? DC can't use that name anymore. Marvel own's it.

There's a couple of different versions of him. DC did the shazaam version and now Marvel owns it and calls him Mar-Vel. Just curious which version you were talking about.

They're two different characters. DC can still use the name Captain Marvel, but they can't title their comics (or movie, presumably) that.

because hes a blander version of superman. marvel has cool heroes with unique powers. captain marvel would be a waste
