we "could" be just as good or better and we "could" still lose three games.

btw, I totally agree with your assessment because the talent is there and with the realignment of the coaching staff we should show good ROI.

I like the fact that we are kinda' flying under the radar to the media but I also think that when they see the team after august that could change. no matter what....we will be a load and could very well be right back in the mix. we'll know more after the game in Athens.

get better.

We beat every team not named Bama by double digits in 2011. It was blowout after blowout.

Just the facts dumbass.

I seriously doubt we have a run like we did in 2011

Did you really add Ole Miss in there?

Just because they signed a top heavy recruiting class doesn't mean they're going to be pretty good. Who's their QB, anyway?

I think you meant to say A&M

He didn't say pretty good, he said they will be decent. They were decent last year when they only lost by 6 in Tiger Stadium.

Is this supposed to be a joke? Try Bo Wallace. The same Bo Wallace that threw for 310 yards and ran for another 54 yards in Tiger Stadium in 2012. He also accounted for 4 touchdowns.

They're overdue for a letdown. Injuries, academics, something. It takes luck to win a MNC and even Saban can't control Dame Fortune. Are the offseason arrests a harbinger? We'll see.

Meh. Freeze seems to be a decent coach, but they have to get a lot better to be a legit threat. One recruiting class won't do it.

quote:

florida is going to be better

So will we, and we have more upside than they do, IYAM. And we get them at home. I'm still not sold on Driscoll as a top flight SEC QB.

Our biggest challenge. Playing in Athens is always tough for us.

You didn't mention A&M. I look for JFF to have the mother of all sophomore slumps and they finish 3d or 4th in the SECW.

same one that shredded LSU's defense in 2012.

Are you dense? AU/arkie/atm/Florida at home. I would rather take that the those on the road and bama/Georgia on the home. .

Georgia will not be as good as their top 5 ranking suggest. That might finish 3rd in the east.

Alabama and aTm 2 certain losses

There are no certain losses for this year's team. There are about four 50/50 or worse games, which equates to a NEAR certainty of at least one or two losses, but even that near certainty doesn't apply to any one game in particular, but only the group of four murderous ones.

quote:

UGA probably a loss

Maybe. I'd say this one is probably 50/50.

quote:

TCU, FLA toss up

Are you really high on TCU, or really down on Florida? I don't regard these two games as even close to equal in difficulty. Florida will be MUCH tougher.

quote:

Prob another screw up in there with a young team

Maybe. We have done better in recent years about not losing to inferior teams, Peach Bowl no-show notwithstanding.

quote:

8-4 is best case scenario but prob 7-5

No way is 8-4 the best case scenario. I would say it's closer to the worst case. We'd have to lose all four of the tough games, or lose three of them plus another one. I'm not saying it can't happen, but no way is it the best case scenario. And 7-5 seems highly unlikely. In fact, it's probably the worst-case scenario.

quote:

I won't be very popular with this prediction but its how I feel

I can't agree with your prediction, but don't sweat people getting on your arse about not picking us to go undefeated and win the NC. The Pumpers are exactly like the Haters, but in mirror image.

Before the season, Pumpers say 14-0 and bitch at anybody who says 8-5. After the season, they make excuses for 8-5 and bitch at anybody who expected 14-0. Haters say 8-5 before the season and bitch after if we don't go 14-0. There's not a dime's worth of difference between them, only they just don't know it.

If you predict 14-0 and are disappointed with 13-1, or if you predict 8-5 and are pleasantly surprised with 9-4, then you are being rational. Otherwise, well...see above.

Why does everyone think the Schedule is so tough? Because LSU plays Bama in Tuscaloosa?

Well, that and the fact that there are three other legitimate NC contenders on our schedule.

quote:

LSU plays pretty well there. They won the last 5 out of 6 times they played in Tuscaloosa

Irrelevant. Until two months ago, you could have said the same thing about Atlanta. Until fourteen months ago, you could have said the same about New Orleans.

quote:

We got Florida, A&M, and Arky at home. Quit your bitching. It's the SEC.

Alabama is in the SEC, too. Where are the four legit national title contenders on their SEC schedule?

They played us down to the wire in Tiger Stadium last year without any of those new recruits. Is it so crazy to think they will be tough in Oxford with them? And, by the way, the QB ripped our defense a new one last November.

He doesn't have to. It will be handed to him whether he earns it or not, just like the last two were.

A legit threat to do what? Win the SEC? Yes, you're right. Spring an upset at home over their arch rival whom they almost beat on the road last year? Not so much.

To each his own. If Les Miles had the chance to trade Auburn and Arkie for Bama and Georgia on the home schedule, I'd be pretty pissed if he didn't take it.

The point is that although we have two of our tough games at home, we also have two on the road. So, the fact that we have two at home does nothing to mitigate the strength of our schedule. The home/road balance is equal.

Georgia will not be as good as their top 5 ranking suggest

How in the world would anyone know that?

That might finish 3rd in the east

Or first in the country. Both are very reasonably possible. They were a few yards short at the end vs. Bama from winning the NC last year.

What a dumbass.

So we didn't play good against South Carolina? We didn't play good against A&M? We didn't play good against Washington?

GTFO - you are too stupid for this discussion.
