ok so LSU losing 3 likes, LSU ties it up 242 likes, that is understandable.

Plus LSU baseball is more closely followed then LSU basketball.

Would you trade 2-3 Superbowl wins for a World Cup?

In what world does the NFL team that I pull for also field a soccer team that competes against other countries?

We'll the the only reason the US doesn't field a football team to play against the world is because no one else cares but you're probably not a fan of the US either when you "put things in perspective".

I'm not really sure what you're even trying to argue. But more power to you.

so LSU beats Miss St. on Saturday to move to .500 in SEC play ... 88 likes
LSU beats Maryland on Sunday ....2,075 likes

I just think it's stupid to say "I would trade this many championships for 1 of these championships" or agree with that type statement. It doesn't bother me if the basketball team wins more than the football team or at least not enough to cheap'n what another sport has accomplished. If we really wanna put things in perspective we should probably trade basketball championships for football recruiting titles.

It's sadder that LSU basketball has 17,000 likes and LSU baseball has 235,000 likes.

This is a good barometer on how far Basketball has left to go to reestablishing fan enthusiasm. Brady's last 2 years & the TJ hire really set the program back. But CJJ is at least getting some interest and I expect if the class coming in lives up to the hype, it could resurge.

When LSU basketball becomes dominant in their sport, they will to. I, for one, will continue to hope it happens.

Ok. I never said that, so take that up with whoever did. I said a late season conference matchup when a team is fighting for the post season is more important than game 4 out of 56 when we're playing a Southland conference team.

The entire sport of basketball can cease to exist for all the fricks I give.

I want LSU basketball to win every game they play simply because they wear those three letters on their chest but I feel nothing more.

I did

Id rather win a national sport that people care about and is actually on tv than one that is lucky to get 1game in the entire sport on tv.
People respect bball titles.
Hell girls bball gets more rec. Than baseball.

With that said you cant trade titles and I like when lsu does good in baseball.its a time killer for 1 month in summer. But how important can a sport be when the home fans dont mijd losing and applaud team that beat you.seems little leaguish

Basketball losing in that post has a lot to do with only 3 likes, seriously who is going to like a post about us losing. You are looking way to much in to this.

Also the product the basketball team has been putting out has been damn near pathetic for the past about 5 years. Baseball has 2 decades worth of high performance and consistently at the top almost every year. Baseball team has a statue of them in Omaha for crying out loud, what do you expect.

Johnny Jones is without a doubt turning things around but give it more than just one season before you start trying to compare the two programs in any way right now, even in some pointless fashion as facebook likes
