Who killed Nancy?

Another topic that could go on more than one board. 2009 documentary on the 1978 death of Nancy Spungen, girlfriend of Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols. She was found stabbed to death in their NYC hotel room, and Sid was arrested for the murder. He died of a heroin overdose while out on bail before he could be brought to trial. Full length on youtube.

Heroin killed her.
Sid Vicious too. He stabbed her. Why did a punk band use heroin anyway? I guess Sid did not do the writing?

"writing" is using the term loosely for the Pistols
Sid's mother was a heroin addict. He learned it from her. I won't spoil the rest of it, but it was a sick relationship.

Sid didn't do any of it. He was the prototype of the "freak" - a person in the band whose job is to get/keep attention so the band gets press. Sid was the bassist and they didn't let him play the bass.
I guess he was a backup singer, but that's about it.

They didn't let Sid play bass because he COULDN'T play bass. He was one big publicity stunt like you said
