Lamar on Tuesday - stats inside if anyone interested

Lamar is a 4-0 on the year with a 4-game sweep of the brand new Division I team Northern Kentucky this weekend. They scored a good deal of runs on NKU but also gave up a fair share as well. The hitting numbers obviously must be taken with a grain of salt considering the opponent but nonetheless...
LINK
Hitting close to .400 and team ERA of close to 4.
Lamar finished last season 8th out of 12 teams in the Southland conference. Lamar was picked to finish 6th (out of 10 teams this year) by the coaches in this year's SLC.
LHP Cody Glenn should get the start for us

Hopefully McCune is healthy enough to give us a few innings as well.
The race for the Sunday spot is still wide open. Could go to Bonvillian, Glenn, Cotton, McCune or maybe one of the new guys we saw today.

I really want to see Glenn be masterful this Tuesday. If he can do that, I think he starts to become a front runner for the last weekend spot. I get the feeling Bonvillian is not the long-term solution.

Me too.
Really, I just want another lefty to step up to give us options behind Cotton (want to keep him in relief). Bonvillian gave us some good innings last year (especially the rubber game at Florida) but was inconsistent.

Yeah it's pretty clear to me Bonvillian cant go starter innings. He runs out by the 4th inning...they were saying today he has never thrown more than 4 innings.
Glenn has the talent to be an outstanding weekend starter, we'll see if the control is much better now. That's the thing holding him back last year.

If he does pan out, good luck scoring any runs on us.
2 guys that throw heat and pound the zone (thank you Alan Dunn) and a crafty lefty followed by a stacked bullpen.

Lamar is extremely young. I'm sure The Box will be very humbling to most of the kids.
