Medium filets and Alma's uppity spinach madeline (with pepperjack) and Sister Shuberts yeast rolls Strawberries dipped in dark chocolate for dessert. probably won of the best valentines I've had. Put our 1 year old son down around 8, dinner was done cooking at 8:45, nude dinner by candlelight.

LOVE your pot. Peppered parmesan over crackers when I arrived with a glass of Petit Chablis. Caprese salad for starters. A special spaghetti and vodka sauce with a glass of Chablis Grand Cru. And dessert was room-temperature strawberries dipped in dark chocolate (my favorite). It was absolutely amazing. Best night of my life. Best picture I have.

Kind of just made it up as I went. Almost cooked it like a risotto. Blanched the aspagarus. Cooked down some garlic and shallots, added the orzo and some chicken stock. Let it cook until it abosrbed all the liquid and then added the aspargus.

7 Lbs of Snow Crabs with Boiled Potatos, 4 High Grade Rib-eyes grilled Medium Rare, Avocado with a Balsamic Vinegrette, Sweet Potato Fries drizzled with Honey. I do this every year for the Wife and Daughters and they really love and look forward too it. I did enjoy my 1st bomber of Brother Thelonious Abbey Ale. It was absolute "Beer Bliss" for me.........

I had bought steaks not knowing my girlfriendhad bought some salmon, so we cooked one of each and split it. Added some green beans and carrots from the garden and washed it down with Apaltagua Envero Carmenere.

We had left over spaghetti and starburst... Our 12 year anniversary was this past Saturday and we had a great night out at Ruth's Chris and dancing after.. St. Valentines day is always a lost "Holiday" for us.

I made salad with heart of palm, blue chz and fig bruschetta, steamed lobster and snow crab legs, corn and roasted potatoes. Chocolate dipped strawberries. A bottle of red, captain in the teapot. Dressed to the nines, sat and had dinner with the kids at 7. The kids ate so much they were sleeping by 8:30.

I say I don't like V-day, but the truth is I dont like any holiday that is stressful. Great V-days have always been easy going and romantic. The best ones almost never involve going to a crowded restaurant. This V-day was great. Good food with my fiance that cost me maybe 40 bucks with wine.

I fixed Glassman's Sherry braised chicken from the recipe book, buttered egg noodles and asparagus. Fruit tart bought from Dorignac's. No time to make dessert. Don't shoot me. Sorry, no pics.
