There's a tradition of LSU baseball fans getting something new at the ballpark each opening day and this season it's more than one. The Wally Pontiff Jr. Hall of Fame will open to the public beginning Friday when the Tigers open a three-game series with Maryland.

a bit off subject, but why can't they ever fix the video during the wally pontiff classic. It seems like it gets blacked out for about 10 seconds of the tribute. It has been like that since they started it.

I know a bunch of people have probably said this since he died, but Wally Pontiff was my favorite baseball player when I was growing up. Glad to see he is being honored in this fashion.
