depending on where we pick in the NBA draft; Trade Gordon for Phoenix's first round pick and Markieff Morris

We can never trade him to Phoenix on account of his signing their offer.

I don't think that is accurate. We can't trade him to Phoenix this year.

Gordon has veto power on ANY trade this season and can't be trade at all to Phoenix, this season.

Next season he has no veto power and could be traded to Phoenix

Coon's FAQ used to read that you could never trade a player to a team that made that player an offer in restricted free agency that was then matched.

He stated otherwise elsewhere.

He has since clarified that the prohibition is for the first season only.

I was misled initially, as well. A Phoenix writer clued me in.

ETA: Coon's revlog shows the RFA question was updated on January 17, 2013 . . . so pretty recently.

Yeah, was pretty sure you're where I got the "never can be traded to Phoenix" deal. Thanks for clarification. Can't hurt having another trade partner, especially one that was interested at one point. Still don't really want to trade him.

Here's the language from a prior CBA (I don't have the new one yet):

After exercising its Right of First Refusal as described in this Section 6, the ROFR Team may not trade the Restricted Free Agent for one (1) year, without the player's consent. Even with the player's consent, for one (1) year, neither the ROFR Team exercising its Right of First Refusal nor any other Team may trade the player to the Team whose Offer Sheet was matched.

Good lord, everybody acts like this is a sin to mention. Vasquez is a developing scorer that struggles guarding smaller, quicker players. He is a great passer, but still turns it over a lot. A move to SG would enhance his strengths and minimize his weaknesses. He would still handle the ball alot and initiate the offenses most times. It's not a major change from what they have been doing this year anyway when Rivers has started or played along side Vasquez

Yeah, a, you're fricking retarded, as well as the other moron wanting to move the leading assist man in the NBA to sg.
Just quit posting on the HB if you are that stupid. This isn't a fricking video game.
