If you file before this, your tax return will be flagged and it is a long process. I filed in February last year and ammended mine 2 days later and I did not get my refund until October.

Not really but after having to pay one year because of a lot of OT, I have more withheld just so I don't owe at the end of the year. Since I overpaid by 10,000, I see no point in letting the IRS hold onto MY money longer than necessary.
