Once again through the OB I have arranged to meet up with some other outdoorsmen and hunters for a hog slaying good time. I will be hosting three generations from one family (GF, F, son) and a faimly friend from Kansas and Wyoming here in East Texas. Hopefully this will pay off in an eventful Kansas bow hunt for me in the future. If not at the very least it should result in bacon on the table and hams in the smoker and soem new friends made.
I will post pics as we get them over the week long hunt.
I just wanted to say that sharing the outdoors with friends and family is what it is all about and I am glad to find a way to do so even though I sit behind a keyboard many hours a week.

Yep the round up starts March 27th and lasts 10 days I will do a running thread for it again this year.
I am kind of cutting my feet out from under myself with this hog hunt this close to the contest but WTH (What the heck-gave up cussing for lent) it is a chance to share some time in the outdoors with new friends.

Well the guys got in last night and I gave em a tour of the lease. The decided to split in too two groups this am and both groups heard/saw pigs but neither got a shot. They are back in stand and ready to shoot something now.

No, it isn't required for hogs.

Sounds good. And scuba is correct. No licence required if owner or leaser has you shooting for depredation control.

I just went to one last weekend. It was a blast. We got 10 of them between 5 hunters. I'm planning on going back next yr. We were going to hunt w dogs on Sunday but got rained out.
