Basically said he didn't listen to anyone, he did whatever he wanted to do and didn't want any advice from his catcher or coaches. Monter finished up with "good luck to Santana" lol

This was known about Bauer before he showed up at UCLA. There were a few irrate Bruin parents at the Minute Maid Classic whining about Bauer (the first tournament of his freshman year) for exactly this reason.

Good response by Bauer 
There was an article here before he was drafted that alluded to this type of stuff, some teams apparently removed him completely from their draft board for different reasons. Will be interesting to see how he responds this year, I'm pretty excited to watch Cleveland which didn't seem possible.
