re: Texas man kills drunk driver that killed his sons

quote:

I am betting he thought both his sons were dead. Freaked the frick out and killed the POS drunk driver(allegedly). If he gets a good lawyer he can/will plead guilty for manslaughter. If you know the laws(and I don't to the full extent)at least in Louisiana you can get manslaughter for being in the "heat of the moment". The dude will serve 6 months then get out.
After the day that guy had I think 6 months in the state hospital would be more appropriate.

I'd have a difficult time holding it against the man if he did act out right after someone killed his kids. He will probably faced some reduced charges.

I know a guy who got off with a couple years after he killed his wife and her play toy when he found them in bed together. Losing your kids is a bit more to take.

I'd have slammed his head into the steering wheel. Oops head trauma from the crash.

Hmm, those defensive weapons can be used for offense too. Who would have thought?

I see your stupidity's not limited to just the Poli Board. It would appear that you're a full retard on every board you haunt.

re: Texas man kills drunk driver that killed his sons

Some thoughts:

Who has their 11 and 12 year old sons out pushing a truck at 11 p.m.? Really weird that the wife, daughter and infant son where still in the truck if the house was only 50 yards away. Don't you put the kids inside the house and then push the truck yourself while your wife steers?

We don't know if the driver was drunk. Story says it was BELIEVED that he had been drinking, but not report yet on whether he was legally impaired.

Were their any lights on the vehicle that was hit? I could see a scenario where the people pushing the truck are blocking the reflectors and a car not seeing them until too late.

All that being said, if the driver comes back drunk, I wouldn't shed a tear for him.

I know we can't have people doing things like this, have to follow the law and what not

but can't say I wouldn't do the same.. or at least think about it real hard

My prophetic post on this from last week

quote:

Drunk driving has no relation as you posed it. The only tie in would be to ask "would you drive drunk if you knew any other driver would be justified in killing you before or after you got out of your vehicle"?

If drunk driving = auto death penalty I'm sure the taxi business would be booming.

‘It was an accident. He didn't purposely do that,’ Tellez told ABC13.

I wonder if he did not purposely get drunk, too?

Anyway, this is just a depressing story..........regardless of which side you favor.
