A bud of mine has quite a few head in Amite, and Im wanting to get in the game.

He doesnt want to sell me any of his breds, besides I want to jump in now, with some new squirts to raise in the late fall.

There's a livestock show at the ag center goin on right now. They could probably point you in the right direction.

Now is an expensive time to jump in the game. Theoretically you wanna sell right now.

I got 9 bred heifers but I'm near Shreveport and they're longhorns...

Yeah, there aren't a lot a round here. They're just unique and we keep a few head to play with. The thing is, they're really starting to bring some money at the sale.

With the amount of alcohol being consumed right now I'm sure you'll find bred heifers all over in Nola by morning

Whole lot of factors. Buying when prices are up is never a good investment imo

LINK I don't know if any of these are close to you but it is a start. Go ahead and join the La. Cattlemans arse. And normally in the back of the magazine you get each month it will have adds for reputable dealers.
