I've spent $95 and my base is almost maxed at TH9

The only problem I see is the AI sucks. "Hey, screw that gold storage literally in front of me...I'm going for the army camps!"
Higher levels raiding you isn't broken. It's how the game works. There aren't enough people at those levels to ONLY raid higher level people. You're going to get raided by people you have no chance of getting revenge on. That won't change

This games funner since I changed up me base setup to a farming base
Let's me actually collect resources at a reasonable rate. I raid once or twice in the morning, let someone destroy my TH, sit behind the 12 hr shield all day, raid again once or twice that night at the end of the 12 hr shield, then my TH is destroyed again to give me a 12 hour shield over night. Rinse and repeat
Also been finding good bases to raid with 100k+ resources in the 2000 trophy range without inferno towers that I can have success raiding against.

Nice. I had the hardest time trying to store elixir before I changed my base setup
