Andrelton Simmons doing it large!

Hits a 2-run jack to tie it.

Kid looks way more composed at the plate than ever credited.

Hitting .360 (I'm assuming throughout the WBC). Gonna be a special year if he can get on base and hit for a high average like that.

I think the braves could have a gem in Evan Gattis. Everybody likes to knock him for his age, but look at Jose Bautista and when he finally broke out.

The ball just pops off his bat. It's a shame we don't have a spot for him anywhere in the field except at catcher. But he is a REALLY bad catcher.

Between him and a few of the other youngin's, I like the direction of the Braves.

Maholm pitched well, JUP with a 2 run single to chase Strasburg, and up 6-0. Good to see us beating up on the Nats, even if it is only ST.

Simmons reminds me a lot of Prado at the plate. If he can give us that kind of production at the plate he's going to be a perennial All Star with his defense.

Prado was incredible at the WBC.. I miss him now.

What's with the Yankees interested in Chipper Jones?

Kinda what I was thinking. Solid contact hitter, some gap power, won't give you anything outstanding in any category, but a little in each.

Any of you who have had a spring training trip to Orlando care to comment in my thread down a few posts? Need some guidance.

Tigers release Brennan Boesch. Any chance Braves take a flyer on him, or do they roll with Schafer as the lefty OF bench bat?
