And why. I'm interested to hear the other alternatives that you are upset that we're missing out on. Naturally, I suspect I'll receive no real answers in this thread but figured this question warranted its own thread.

I just want to know who they wanted. They either wanted to keep Stud, or they wanted someone else not named Cam Cameron. And I want to know who. With all their fricking bitching it's likely they've thought long and hard about this.

This is an amazing hire. Not sure what anyone could get mad about here. QB development has been a problem so Les gets a guy that is a master at bringing QBs along. I mean Drew freaking Brees endorses Cam. What more can you demand? I to Les on this hire.

For the most part no, but I've seen some unhappy trolls and I'm giving them a thread and opportunity to substantiate their displeasure.

I'll make a guess for a large number of them:

1) Sean Payton
2) video game spread offense guy
3) doesn't matter who; he sucks because Miles hired him

Doesn't matter who the OC is when Miles is still the HC...

He's not upset with the hire, just terrified there won't be anything to complain about much longer.

Solid hire. I have been sitting here thinking about the different dynamics between the nfl and college. On one hand a coach in the nfl has guys that know there fundamentals before they get there. I don't know how much actual teaching goes on there.

On the other hand, I don't know if pros in the nfl want to be taught. All the talent is basically even in the nfl. We have a SLIGHT advantage in the sec, so that's a plus.

Some coaches seem to do better in one environment then the other. Some are great in both. He was not good as an Indiana head coach. He coached some good qbs and set school records though.

I love the hire. But taking everything into account. I just don't know.

And yet we've won a national title with Miles and a lesser OC.
