With about 7 months till TCU will we have enough time to master CC's offense or will we get an abridged version for 2013? Although the philosophy will be pretty identical it is still tough transition between OCs as we have seen in the past. I wish Desean Smith was an EE.

Oh and we are gonna blow out TCU

I think they should be able to get everything in place. It depends on how different the terminology is.

Should be enough time. The thing is, other teams should be crapping in their pants. Really no way to game plan against him, at this stage.....

Nope. That's why we're keeping Stud around.

My guess is we will keep a large chunk of the playbook and Cam will do game week installations. Believe it or not most football playbooks are pretty similar. It's just the terminology that needs to be adjusted.

People always talk about how this guy doesn't know the playbook, or oh we don't have time to get the playbook in. I know a lot of these athletes aren't exactly scholars but jesus christ they have 7 months to learn some football plays, it's not open heart surgery

We had a new OC in '07 and we won an NC. It depends on the Jimmy's and Joe's more than the X's and O's.

I was waiting for this response, yes I certainly have. These guys have been playing football their entire life it's not like he's going to hand them something written in hebrew that they've never seen before

Well, I would imagine it is Cam that is going to have to adjust to LSU's terminology. Seems stupid for everyone else to adjust as opposed to one guy. Other then that he will probably just add some new stuff. The most important thing is the on field play calling and adjustments he makes. This hire is really big. I think we will be damn good this year.

Yeah. Same concepts. He just uses a couple of different formations and tight end sets. It really should be a seamless transition. I can't fricking wait. I bet Desean Smith is freaking out with joy.

The offense is already in place, Cam will just be calling the plays now as Les' new buddy.

I think so. The entire program is likely going to be super motivated and want to work hard to field the best offense they can.

Our offense will look like bamas. Better execution, better play calling, better blocking, better qb play.

But, BETTER EXECUTION. That is so unbelievably important.
