Really wanting to play TL2 because heard a lot of good thing about it but don't wanna miss out on anything in TL1...

It probably doesn't matter, but I would recommend that you do because its a great game! And the campaign isn't very long at all.

Do they have this on console yet or is it still only PC?

Give PoE (Path of Exile) a shot, similar game, free to play. I'm a big Diablo fan, this game has a similar feel to Diablo/Torchlight.
