NOH sends Vazquez Aminu Henry 2014 1st (optional) Noh receive Evans Delfino 1st Hornets give up vasquez whos had a career year and Aminu whod still a very raw intriguing prospect. Henry is a filler Sac trades Evans Cousins Sac recieves 2014 1st Vasquez Terrance jones Omar asik Henry Sac gets rid of their disgruntled star and vasquez is a better fit to run the team. If a pick needs to be thrown in it can.

Sacramento is basically giving up their two best players for a bunch of role players.

We're making a lateral (at best) move from Vasquez to Evans. Evans is an RFA next season, Vasquez isn't one until 2015. I think too many people undervalue GV's trade value.

Vasquez and Asik are pretty legit.

Meh, Evans hasn't lived up to his potential, but that potential is huge. He could be a borderline top five SG in this league if he fully developed, which probably won't happen in that shitstorm in Sacramento. I get the feeling we're witnessing Vasquez just about at his ceiling. He has physical limitations that will always limit how good he could be, while Evans has off the charts athleticism. All of that being said, no way in hell Sacramento trades their best two players for two fairly decent guys. Yea Vasquez is a nice guard, and Asik is a solid center, but they have no where near the potential Cousins and Evans have. Cousins is a top 5 center in the NBA right now, and he's not even close to scratching the surface of his potential.

Close, but not quite. Too much given from sac for not enough. For us n Houston it's reasonable I guess.

Hasn't Sacramento been trying to get rid of Cousins? that guy has done nothing but cause them trouble over there

Word is the Grizz are trying to get Courtney Lee from the Celtics who want front court help. I doubt the Celtics are wanting Darrel Arthur for Courtney Lee so maybe there's room for the Hornets to get involved but the best I could come up with was Robin Lopez to Boston Courtney Lee to Memphis Arthur and Tony Wroten to New Orleans. I know Wroten was a guy many were high on as draft target but I don't know much else about him besides his stats. 1) Would we be interested? 2) Would Memphis do that deal? 3) Would Boston throw in a top 20 protected 1st?

Absolutely.

Memphis also needs front-court help. Not sure trading Arthur is in their best interest. But trading a 3rd-string PG for rotation help is.

It's the same thing, but I think they'd rather throw in Melo than a pick.

They just got Austin Daye and Ed Davis in the Gay trade.

That's interesting, a 6'6 athletic PG to grow along with Rivers, a raw defensive 7 footer, and a solid bench big. Other than losing the flexibility of Lopez's contract option, it seems like a win win if Demps likes the potential of Wroten and Melo.

If Memphis moves Arthur, they are also going to be looking for someone that can play behind Gasol at the 5. Right now they have Arthur and Davis to get those minutes there. From ESPN rumor blog

Head coach Lionel Hollins has bemoaned that lack of depth behind starting center Marc Gasol and that will likely be the focus of Memphis' revamped basketball operations department.
From the Pelicans' perspective. I don't know how much more you can get for Robin Lopez. Wroten and as discussed Fab Melo - just think if Boston is getting back a center they'd be wanting to move their project center along and keep the pick. Two young guys with good potential. It'd be nice to get some type of proven NBA player. But I just don't know if that's possible.

For the trade to work salary wise they need to include Arthur or Daye, but Daye can't be packaged with other players because he was just traded.
