Seems higher than normal? Not a bad thing, I'm glad we can sign guys from OOS, but I like having the majority of the team from LA.

Good to hear this. Haven't followed the recruiting trail this year. Thanks.

OOS players help with LSU's national brand but no worries Louisiana's 2014 senior class is sick. Can't wait

But I read on ESPN that Les Miles isn't top recruiter. . . What does it mean?!

The U started to suck because they stopped recruiting locally and started recruiting nationally...

Well, they probably had too with the rise of Florida, FSU, and South Florida. Not to mention all the other SEC schools picking off a few. Lots of talent if FL, but also lots of schools to choose from.

That's a great advantage LSU has, lots of in state talent, and the only major program.

Joy, joy.
I really look forward to revisiting all the posts about Les not being able to recruit nationally.

That'd be a valid concern if we didn't sign like 11 of the top 12 from La. this year

I'm not complaining, it's just an observation. It seems that our signing classes are usually at least half from LA.

P.S. I've never said Les couldn't recruit OOS.

Exactly. That was the problem pre-Saban.

I played in the LHSAA Allstar game in 1986, and only a couple of the top players signed with LSU. Eddie Fuller is the only one I can recall that made an impact. All of the top recruits signed out of state. Michigan, Arkansas, Notre Dame, FSU, Miami.

We don't play that shite no mo!

We take 20 of 27 from LA and a handful of top recruits from elsewhere, and next year's class will easily be the best ever for LSU.

Agree.... This class is a bit heavy on oos players... But we got something like 12 of the top 15 Louisiana players and the oos players are virtually all nationally ranked players.

As others have stated .... Next year will likely be very heavy on LA players as many of the State's top players are high national ranked players.

No matter how you feel otherwise....trust Les and his staff with recruiting and accept that No School gets every player in their state or that they would like to sign.

Top 10 recruiting classes produce SEC contenders.... That's what we have year in and year out. We are blessed.

P.S. I wasn't actually replying to you, but tigerfan0082.
Just an observation about whining in general.
As in;
15 of 27 signees from out of state?
LSU recruits itself, Miles has nothing to do with it
Miles always loses the big fish to Saban
Not one recruit from TX???
why did we not pursue__________ from LA?
and next year's popular themes;
Les can't recruit nationally
Recruiting for LSU means Miles never has to cross state lines to sign top classes
Same tired stories, different characters, different year.
