Worst war movie ever?

Worst Clint movie ever? I'd say that's pretty definite.

I'm not saying it's a great movie, but I like it and will watch it again almost any time it comes on.

Well, well, well, well. I'm here to tell you that life as you knew it has ended. You all may as well go into town tonight. You may as well laugh and make fools out of yourselves. Rub your pathetic little peckers against your honies or stick it in a knothole in the fence but whatever it is, get rid of it. Because at 0600 tomorrow your arse is mine.

Drop your cocks and grab your socks! Off your arse and on your feet. Let's move. Knees to the breeze in 5 minutes.

It's Goddam 5 o'clock. You said six!

So I lied. So I can't tell time. So maybe some communist bastard's going to make an appointment pop you a new a-hole in your forehead. You're Marines now. You adapt. You overcome. You improvise. Let's move. Four minutes!

Have you seen Casualties of War?

Ignoring the stuff he did in the 50s, beginning with A Fistful of Dollars, it's hard to argue that either Bronco Billy or Firefox is better than Heartbreak Ridge. I actually liked all three movies, but they are not his best work - face it, Clint has had the luxury of being in good roles early, and taking control of his career about 35 years ago. Some of his much lesser known works - at least to more casual film fans - The Beguiled and Honkytonk Man, contain some of his best performances.

If you have actually been in the military, especially Marine Corps, then this is a terrible movie. For everyone else its probably somewhat entertaining.

I'm not a Marine, but I'm a 25 year vet. I can't say I love the movie, but certainly balk at it being "worst" movie. I think the movie tried to do too much. It probably would have been better as more of a straight comedy. Certainly Clint and Mario didn't phone their performances in and the movie has a number of memorable scenes. It is dated because it was made (and set) in the period between the Vietnam War and our 20+ year adventure in picturesque SW Asia.

That movie is like a bad car accident; it's terrible, but I can't help but watch it when it's on TV. There are so many great one-lines in it, though. But, yes, it's an awful movie.

I'd say you should shut your whore mouth.

This movie is so full of awesome. What is not to like about 2 hrs worth of Clint spewing wisdom and kicking arse?

Hippie.

Now get the hell out of here. Because with all due respect, you're starting to bore the hell out of me.

Anyone who claims they've seen the worst Clint movie ever without mentioning City Heat as a contender is a fricking piker.

That was a horrible meandering mess of a film, in part because the studio figured that they didn't need a script when they had box office winners Clint Eastwood and Burt Reynolds together on-screen.

That being said, I'll agree that Bronco Billy and Firefox should also be in the discussion.
