Anyone who claims they've seen the worst Clint movie ever without mentioning City Heat as a contender is a fricking piker.
Good catch - I had, literally, blocked that movie from my memory.
On hindsight - (Clint has directed himself in the vast majority of films since Josey Wales
), with Richard Benjamin directing a script based on a Blake Edwards story, City Heat
, should have been better than it was. I think, ultimately, it comes down to chemistry - sometimes great ingredients just don't go together.
But, anyway, yeah, certainly should top the list of discussion of worst films with Clint Eastwood, at least since he became a bona fide star.
