What do like/hate the most about recruiting? What one thing would you change?

I hate televised commitments and the "hat dance". A close second is, "I'll be taking my talents to..." Do you wish there was an early signing period?

a lot of the recruiting rules were established by small schools to even the playing field most of em suck

Absolutely not. Some of these kids genuinely don't know, and an early signing period could rush them, & then they ask out of their LOI

I wish there would be an early signing period like in basketball. Kids could sign a LOI before their senior season if they wanted to. Others could just play the game recruiting game til Febuary like many do now

Disagree with early signing. I'd like it to be a surprise at the end without all this hype on twitter.

Really not feeling how you have to pay for access to what amounts to regular news in any other sport.

I really would like an early signing period for those that are sure of their school. It would cut costs and the time spent on those that are sure. The coaches then could concentrate on the rest. Signing early like in August or as late as December 1st would reduce the chaos Feb. 5th. When Gerry Dinardo was recruiting my son as a center, he would have signed August 1st if he could. We grew up on LSU, love LSU. They took Big Ben and my son went to a Miss, school instead. But early signing would relieve the pressure on a lot of people if we had it. Some would just get it over with.

Early signing period would cut down on coaches and recruits strait up lying.
Only bad thing would be players signing early and just giving up on school and not qualifying.

Early signing period would do a few things. Alleviate some of the pressure the kids have to sign with in state schools. If they signed in August, when it wasnt the top billing of the news cycle, they wouldnt have to deal with the backlash. It could also save a kid like Lawson from having a last minute grey shirt offer because of a clearing house issue.
