Any Egg Heads out there? (BGE)

local hardware store is offering a Big Green Egg - Large for $699. thoughts on this thing and the pricing?

had mine for 6 years...have the large. cant remember price but sounds like the right ballpark

They are awesome. Cook steaks at 6-700 or you can cook something low and slow.

$699 seems like a pretty good deal.
They usually run quite a bit more than that here.
I've had my large one since 2004 and it is worth every penny.

i would get a Primo XL, but that is just me

- made in Merica
- oval shape for more usable surface area

The Primo people will tell you Primos are the best, the BGE people will tell you Eggs are the best.. Any of the ceramic grills in the $700-$1000 range are going to be good to go. I have an Egg and love it.
