Scouts have been watching that kid since he was 13. No, I am not a relative.

what exactly are you asking here?

are you questioning why we didnt recruit him or did we recruit him?

Both. I really don't know the answer. Seeing if somebody here knows if we didn't offer/minimal offer or if he was just looking elsewhere for whatever reason. Of course, if I had to guess LSU didn't offer considering his second choice was Tulane.

One thing in the particular that played a part in Monica’s decision, he said, is he has relatives, including grandparents, living in the Tucson area. Monica said the fact they will get the chance to see him play is important to him.

I would guess this would be the reason.
Arizona also got a LHP from LA as well.
They did win the national title, that tends to pull recruits or get attention from areas you haven't before.

Arizona has some of the best facilities for baseball in the country. Very awesome visit for any recruit

Meh, ASU is what you're thinking of I believe.

ETA:
I've partied at both. ASU is outrageous. They are all hot and all basically prostitutes. The STD rate is astronomical. They also mostly love douche bag guys soooo its whatever I guess.

I've heard that he was never interested in LSU. He favored schools like Stanford and Georgia Tech.

And yet he's going to that think-tank over in Tuscon.

I taught Handsome and he seemed the type who had no real allegiance as opposed to most in the area who are locked in LSU.

And, yes, I actually got angry with some students when they said he actually goes by Handsome when I called him out for role the first day as Donald. Did not believe them.

He is the second guy this year from Louisiana to commit to Arizona. Both of these players will be highly drafted as well. LSU may have been in on these guys too late.

Well St. Paul's baseball is a joke - no coaching, no development.

LSU might see the writing on the wall. He might just be running off of talent alone and the staff does want to take time to coach him up?
