Why would anyone want to coach at either New Mexico school? Nobody has won consistently at either place like EVER. New Mexico had a mini-run in the mid 2000's where they would squeak into a bowl then get killed in said bowl...and NM State hasn't been to a bowl since 1960.

LaGarrette Blount is an interesting fantasy RB once again.

I will never understand why so many of these lower tier programs grab these proven failures over rolling the dice on a lower divisions guy or a position coach at big time program. It's almost as if their athletic programs seek out pathetic & then proceed to buy it a few drinks.

The NM schools are in an area that is completely devoid of talent.

None in state, west texas has very little, and Arizona isn't really a hotbed and has two BCS schools to support.

There is just no real way for those schools to do all that well.

I dunno, b/c a HC job is better than bouncing around as an OC?
