No way in hell I post this on the OT. I'm just posting this to let any of you fathers of young children know that it's not just Pit bulls and Rottweilers who can attack people and do damage.
This was a neighborhood dog who did this while my girl was playing in the yard with her friend.Dog was chained and hiding under a car when she ran by.
I'll tell you what, from now on I'll make damn sure I go pay a personal visit to any home I know she visits and check on the kind of dogs they have. I met the parents before but really never thought to check on the dog they had.
I really don't want to say the exact breed of dog it was because this is still an ongoing thing right now but let's just say it was a small lbreed dog under 20#.

I feel like such a shitty father right now.
She spent like 7 hours in the ER.

shite! Sorry to hear that. I just hope she doesn't get scared of other dogs which is a very bad thing.

Time to break out the AK. Once that is done, cut the head off and bring it to a Vet to check it out.

Dang man sorry.. Least it wasnt worse. And dog breed doesnt matter. Its how the dog is raised, i own nothing but labs and they have all been big babies. But ive seen labs that wont let you get out the car. But i am curious to know what breed it was.

Man, that's a bad gash for a 20lb. dog to inflict.
Hope she gets well fast, at least y'all have the dog to test.

little dogs are generally the a-hole dogs. How old is your daughter? Hope you are filing a claim on their INSURANCE.

that's what I'm really worried about. I mean,I hope she knows now not to trust a dog she doesn't know very well but right now when we pass the house where it happened I notice she just turns her head away.
She's going to need some therapy I'm afraid.
