Let me see if I understand this correctly.... the next 5 Mex.{home or away} WC qualifiers, will ALL be broadcast via ESPN or ESPN2, while ALL US away qualifiers are on some third rate, hope you can find it,screwed up internet site ?????
HOW is this even possible ?????????
THIS is why US soccer will REMAIN a second rate attraction.....there's NO excuse for it !!!!!!!

thenry will carry the burden of explaining how television rights work to this Rant simpleton

1. BeIn Sport is an actual channel now on many cable providers.

2. Honduras and other shitty CONCACAF countries own all of the television rights to their home games, including the broadcast rights of the visiting nations. They always hardball broadcast outlets for these rights. ESPN won't pay over their valuation of the rights. ESPN already has rights to all of the US home qualifiers. It's better than pay-per-view or closed circuit TV.

US Soccer had no control over who the other CONCACAF federations sold the rights to.

I still don't have it. Time Warner has it. Insight is owned by Time Warner. No beIn on Insight.

First off thenry....you are a JACKASS and a condescending one at that !
Most everyone "understands" TV rights and how it generally works. However, ANY nation which values it's own national teams, will exert some for of national pride on it's own broadcasters...basically mandating that important away games ARE broadcast back to the core of the nation. For example, do you think for one second, that Spanish,German,Brazilian or English national team WC qualifiers are NOT on a NATIONAL network ???
Not a chance in hell, my overly opininated friend !
My point was....our own national team carries virtually no weight with the US based broadcast market and I'd like to see this situation changed for the better !
Last time I "tapped" into a 3rd rate network, it left my relatively new computer with a boatload of problems.

Spain recently played a World Cup Qualifier or friendly (against Belarus) that wasn't even on Spanish television. England games occasionally only air for pub broadcasts.

Yes the best national team in the world didn't have one of its game air because Belarus sold the rights to a third party

Thanks for the sound advice, smartass !
NEVER heard of this "network" and I'll bet the majority of cable providers, do not offer it, I know Eatel does not.
Did you even consider that ????

Why is network in quotes? It's a real network owned and operated by al Jazeera. It's a pretty good channel, actually, with one of the best commentators in the business.

Comcast, Time Warner, Xfinity, etc. have it.

How do you know? You didn't know that the channel existed until a few minutes ago.

Try not being an idiot if you want some polite customer service.

You could always change to a reputable cable service.

There are also bars that show soccer.

DirecTV
Time Warner
Comcast

Those are three of the biggest cable providers in the country. All have BeIn Sport.

Was not aware of that....I spent years in Europe and never heard of a national team Euro or WC game {in Ger.,Italy and Holland}, not being broadcast over a "national/major" network

So, your idea of "polite customer service"...is to name an unknown person....a simpleton ???
Think about that...
Many people do not live in urban areas with a choice of cable providers...can you believe that ?

This. And that is what the OP should be pissed about, not that the away matches are on beIN.
