A teacher at an Algiers elementary school was arrested Wednesday for having sex with a student, court records show. According to court documents filed in Orleans Parish Criminal District Court, police arrested Frank Norris, a teacher at Martin Behrman Charter School, after a girl, who is now a former student of Norris', told detectives that she had engaged in sexual intercourse with him several times over the past year. Police were first notified of the situation when the victim's mother contacted police Wednesday and told them that, through reading her daughter's diary, she had found that her daughter had been sexually involved with Norris over the past year. The age of the victim -- who was a student at the school last year -- is not known and the Times-Picayune does not name alleged victims of sexual assaults.

Well, he's 23. How old was the girl? If she was 16 is it okay? Didn't we have this discussion the other day when it was a 16 year old guy and 33 year old woman?

This is the Louisiana I know and love.
There'd have been a dead teacher if this happened where I'm from. This is also why many many men don't work in elementary schools, just the possibility of being labeled a creepy pedo, and this guy just confirmed all that rumor mongering.
