I want to start a new driving gesture for pulling a load...

Okay. I'm sure the title made that clear as mud...
You know how people flash their lights if a cop is ahead? What if we had a sign to give fellow outdoorsmen to say, "Hey, your load looks good."
I'm pretty sure the international sign for a flat tire or loose starp is waiving frantically and honking, but I'm thinking a thumbs up or something will ease the drivers mind. I know I constantly worry about and watch tires and straps when I'm pulling a boat or trailer full of 4wheelers and ice chests.
Or would this all be like tapping your foot in a public bathroom stall?
This would work in interstate situations and other 4 lanes.

Yeah, do you try to inform someone if they're dragging a strap that could possibly wrap around the axle causing catastrophic failure? If you would, why wouldn't you toss them a thumbs up as you pass them if everything looks good?

I lol'ed at first. Then realized its not a bad idea

Wouldn't that be like saying "hey your shoe's tied", "excuse me, but your fly is up"

I could see how this would be helpfull. I wouldn't practice it though. If I'm staring at the trailer he's pulling I'm liable to accidentally veer off course. And if it "looked" ok but really wasn't you just gave him a false sense of security

That how I came up with the idea...
I always look over peoples loads when I pass them, because I myself know what it's like to strap something down and say, "Let's see if that holds!".

I will not be partaking in this practice. However, if I see your shite flying all over the interstate, ill let you know. If I make no such notifications, keep on as normal.

If I see your shite flying out, I will get out and evaluate the quality of your lost goods, then decide whether to let you know.

Fine, if you find my shite on the side of the road, keep it. Happy?

Do you live in it down by the river?
Posted on 1/31/13 at 12:27 pm to 4X4DEMON
Nah I live in a manufactured home. I got my van bc I didnt want a note, and I could pay cash for it. It's pretty sweet.
It needs a little work, but she runs like a top.

Needs an ac unit sticking out of the window. Does it have shag carpeting in it?
