That'd be awesome if we did...I'll be happy with an NCAA tournament berth, which I think we'll earn. I could see us making a run to the Sweet 16 though. We gon ball next year for sure.

We better improve free throw shooting next season. That can cost you a game when you get to the tourney as those games tend to be low scoring and close.

All this talk about JOBIII going pro next yr is kind of crazy IMO. He cannot shoot outside of 8ft from the goal at all. His inside game still needs alot of work. I think he would benefit greatly by coming back another yr.

A few comments.

1) on next year's team being more talented than '06? ----- I think it could be deeper but not more talented. 2006 had DMitch who was 1st team All-SEC, Glen Davis was SEC POY and bonafied NBA player, Tyrus was a top 5 pick, Garrett was one of the top defensive players in the country (and now in the NBA) and Chris Johnson rode the pine and has been in the NBA for stints. Taz is one of the all-time leading scorers in school history.

Would I take Corban Collins over Voogd as backup PG - 100% of the time. Will we have more quality depth on the bench next year to go 10-deep - most likely. But to think that next year's team has as much pure talent, no way. That Final 4 teams had 4 guys that are currently on NBA rosters AND D-Mitch (an all-time favorite) and Taz (all-time great).

2) Is JOB3 ready for the league? ---- Not yet. He's literally not on anybodys top 50 prospects list. He is getting better for sure but his game is still very raw for NBA standards, especially for not having elite athletic ability (he's not a good shot blocker or defensive player in general) for his szie.

3) JOB3 is comparable to Bass at the same stage? ---- Not close. BBass dominated so many games his sophomore year - he averaged 17 and 8 and was SEC POY. He had a much more polished, controlled offesnive game that JOB3 and was much more explosive.

at this stage in his development, JOB is not close to Big Baby, Brandon Bass or even Tyron Thomas. If drafted, and thats a big IF, he will languish on the bench or worse yet....go to the development league.
