Man I'm pulling hard for this dude. We should all be so determined

I don't see what's so wrong about saying it. Dude was this close to losing the leg altogether. Obviously you can recover from it, but the chances of getting it back to the shape it was in before the wreck are slim to none. I think Eiffel he really wants to stay the football route, his best bet would be to bulk up and try and play linebacker. He was much better at LSU when he was blitzing from the edge as opposes to dropping back in coverage anyway. But, I think baseball is his best bet. He's a lefty that can throw a low 90s fastball and has a good breaking ball, that's very valuable to teams.

Look, I hope he proves me wrong and will be the first to admit I was wrong if he does, but I just don't see this being the fairy tale ending that everyone is hoping for.

What would he play seriously? He is a lefty that threw mid 90's on his fastball with a wicked slider. It would take a little time to get back into pitching shape but that can be done. He would be a situational pitcher that can make a lot of money in the majors for a long time.

I have stated on this board all along, if he can't make it in football "which the chances are low at this point" than he should give baseball a shot because unlike football the age window is a lot longer and the physical toll on a pitcher is not on his legs.

Nothing, except that its a little far-fetched. When was the last time he played baseball? 2009? Dude hasn't picked up a baseball in 3-4 years and you think he can just pick up and ball and start hurling in the low 90's with good accuracy? He pitched a total of what, like 4 innings in 2009? Its just far fetched to say oh yeah he should be in MLB, he pitched 4 innings 4 years ago but looked really sharp.

Where in my post did I say he did? Fact is that he played football for LSU his entire time at LSU. He didn't play very much baseball.

Really, blatantly wrong on the 4 innings pitched??? You're right. He threw 6.2 innings in 2009. I see you edited that comment out of your post.

He clearly had the talent to make it in the NFL based on what he did in his career at LSU. You can't say he is an MLB cailber pitcher now because he threw 7 innings 4 years ago. We don't even know if he had the talent to make it then.
