They only wear them at home? I seem to remember them wearing them every game for a couple of weeks

Incorrect my good sir. Parades do not make Mardi Gras official. The celebration or "Carnival" may have started (don't really care) but Mardi Gras is Feb 12. All in all, I will enjoy watching them wear them for the last time as Hornets.
