| Project 1999 (everquest) (Posted on 1/28/13 at 12:18 pm)
any of you old EQ vets play here? I hopped on again last night for the first time in a long while and there were 1k players online. There is no dual boxing allowed on the server, or you'll be banned, and the only way to get multiple characters logged in from the same IP address is to specifically ask for an exemption from the people who run the server...thus all 1k players were legit accounts logged in. If anyone plays, or wants details on how to play, let me know

I'm out. That said with the game FTP not sure why this is needed anymore.

it's "Classic" EQ only- currently the only expansion enabled is Kunark and they will never go past velious.

Do you have to stare at your spellbook?

Make a shaman on p1999 and go do it Seriously though, I'm just playing this as something to screw around on, not trying to get too serious with anything. My brother and I tend to get an EQ itch every 6 months to a year and we'll hop on the server and play some for a while and then stop for a while. There is also a pvp server done by the same people (p1999 red) but they have a population less than 150...just not worth it to play there imo.

I played on the EQMac free server for a couple of nights and could barely stand to play it. I played EQ for 5 years and loved nearly every second of it, but now it gives me a headache. I guess WoW has officially ruined it for me.

Are there any servers that do this for vanilla WoW?

Yes. My buddies played on it for a while before Pandaria came out, but I can't remember the name. Trying to find it...

EMarr, from 1999 on. Quit a few years ago. Why they won't allow boxing is beyond me.
