For people who have read all of the books, should I keep going? I am like 3 hours into the book on tape of Book 5. Kinda slow, kinda like Feast for Crows.... I wish it was more like Storm of Swords...

I mean the first three books had so much going, Starks vs. Lannisters, Joffrey, Robb Stark, Tywin Lannister... and it's like all gone now. I really feel like the meat of the series was torn out when he killed off so many characters.

I still like Jon, Dany.... (kind of)... Arya, Sansa, (Not really Uncat)... Jamie... I like Loras tyrell to.

I mean the show still has plenty to go on, Dragons and dany's rise to power, Cersei trial, Loras Tyrell and Margerie, Jamie, the zombies from the north.

Sigh... it just seems all the best people are gone. Did anyone else feel that way after they finished book 3 and did you continue on and if so how/why? I mean yes I want to see how it ends... but I just feel like the shows ratings are going to plummet after the third season (after both, cause book three is 2 seasons long).

Keep going. I loved book 5. 4 is the worst and you're through it.

DwD is my second favorite book in the series after the 3rd novel. So yeah, keep going.

Just curious have you gotten to the chapters that rhyme with a lot of other words?

I don't believe so. I'm pretty much in the beginning. :()

You'll know when you get there since those are the best chapters in the novel.

They definitely were not weak.

Don't be so bleak about it, some of the fans here might think you weak.

Don't be meek, eat a dish with leeks and keep going.

DwD is great. Upon further review, AFoC is chalked full of incredibly important stuff.

Feast for Crows was tough to get started on, but by the end, you could tell it was a lot of politics setting up for the last two books.

Don't really have any problem with DWD yet other than Dany doing nothing for the most part.

The big regression of maturity by Dany really stuck in my craw.

It seemed like we saw the beginnings of the conquering badass emerge in Astapor.

This was my only real complaint with ADWD. She was wreckin some shite in ASOS but almost started acting like a child in ADWD. You could make her struggle with her decisions and future in a less demeaning way. That would have made her chapters much more interesting.

The beginning. There are things you won't get and many things changed from Book 2
