If I could take a couple knocks on the head and bang pretty much any smoking hot coed I wanted for a few years and come out with a degree and no student loans, I'd do it in a second. Lots of people do...hardly anyone goes to the nfl.

The concussion he had against Oregon St was one of the scariest injuries I've ever seen
His helmet exploded off of his head. That was awful.

it's a damn shame, he's a good guy and perfect for the Lions. I didn't think he would play again after he wasn't cleared to play at the beginning of the season. hopefully he has been smart with his money and can find work to stay out of debt like so many ex-players do.

There are some rules changes that I would make which would increase safety and maintain the integrity of the game.
One is to require wrapping up in tackles, completely outlawing launching your body at the ball carrier.

His health is more important. I hope he lives a happy and productive life.

Boxing was once huge, it's now a somewhat disreputable niche sport populated by foreigners and people who can't make a living any other way. If football doesn't make radical changes, that's its future. And I don't know what kind of radical changes could be made that would 1: change things and 2: keep the kind of audience it has now.
Hi Roger Goodell. When did you start posting on Tigerdroppings?

Like a boxer losing his chin. These things accumulate to the point where if a moth lands on his helmet he would probably go down. Sad for him. Know nothing about him. I hope he actually attended some classes and was not just coasting.
Steve Young was the same way I believe. I was at the game in the Astrodome where he got earholed by Lamar Lathon. Also his helmet was ripped off by Sapp's knee. But when I saw his head bounce off of a grass field after just getting shoved down, and he was out, I knew he had a problem.
