The Paperboy

Watched it last night with Mrs Grouper. Interesting flick. Pretty messed up at some points. Anyone else seen it?

Really bad film. I met most of the cast when they were in New Orleans and they would have had you believe this was a lock for numerous Oscars.

That seemed to be the consensus from that set.

I respect Paperboy. Dude lived in a fricked up neighborhood. Doesn't the fricking Grim Reaper attack you at one point?

I'm still confused by this movie.

So, McConaughey's character likes for black dudes to frick him in the arse and stuff. Ok. Does he have them torture him after because he regrets being a gay? I assume that where his previous face scars come from before his eye being poked out.

Or do the brothers regret it and then they poke his eyes out and shit?

Or do they rip his face open with their big black anacondas?

Did he lay visqueen down cause he knew they'd be cutting him up?

I wish I had the answer to your questions, but this movie creeped me out and confused me as well.

My best guess was that McConaughey was into the bondage/torture stuff and knew ahead of time that it was going to be bloody from past experience (thus the plastic on the floor). I do think a similar incident is what caused his scars on his face. And he obviously had a thing for black guys since the not-really-British black partner admitted that to Zac Efron at the newspaper.

What I don't understand is how McConaughey knew the guys at the bar were also into that stuff just by looking at them. All he had to do was drunkenly wander over to them, whisper, and take em back to the hotel.
